Ramesh Talreja

Dr. Ramesh Talreja is a Tenneco professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University. His research capabilities are in deformation and failure of materials, damage mechanics of composite materials, fatigue damage mechanisms, damage tolerance and life prediction methodologies, statistical assessment of strength and its degradation in long term loading, and effects of microstructural nonuniformity on failure of heterogeneous solids. Professor Talreja started his research career with a Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 1974 on a thesis on fatigue under random loading.
